ABOUT THE ARTIST
BIOGRAPHY
For over forty years Jacqueline Welch has maintained an active personal practice of art-making and exhibition. Her work is in the collection of the Burchfield Penney Art Center, Buffalo, NY, and Monroe Community College, Rochester, NY and in numerous private collections from New York City to Palmer, Alaska.
Select recent exhibitions from 2018 through 2021 include "Empty Nests" at Canisius College, "20/20 Vision: Women Artists in Western NY" at the Castellani Art Museum, "Especially Now" at IndigoART, and "AHA! Annual Hallwalls Auction" at Asbury Hall.
In addition to teaching art classes at Mount Mercy Academy in south Buffalo for the past 29 years, Ms. Welch is an adjunct professor at Canisius College where she has taught studio classes in Intro Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, and 3D Design. She is also a faculty advisor for the college's Drawing Club.
Ms. Welch received an MFA in Visual Art from the Union Institute & University in Montpelier, Vermont in 2005.
